Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Ciara attended Grand Valley State University and graduated with a BS in Sociology, with specializations in Women and Gender Studies, Health Sciences, and Statistics. Ciara started her career journey working at a camp that specialized in recreational therapy for children and adults with disabilities, and later as a respite care provider. She later worked as a Paraprofessional and Special Education Classroom Assistant within Chicago Public Schools before transitioning into the Child Welfare System.

Looking for a job where the mission and values aligned with the work being done, Ciara found herself at Renewal Memory Partners. Outside of work, you can find Ciara hanging with friends and family, participating in queer events/social groups, or supporting local businesses.
