Full Charge Bookkeeper 

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will oversee the accounting, finance, and payroll operations of Renewal Memory Partners. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will work directly with outside CPA’s, advisors, and auditors. Other responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger; invoicing clients and following up on accounts receivable; managing accounts payable; processing payroll; and administering benefits for employees.

This position is fully remote day-to-day; occasional travel to New York City and Chicago may be required (maximum 2x per year). 

Responsibilities:  

  • Maintains the general ledger, including performing monthly bank reconciliations.

  • Ensures accounting records are accurate, complete, and organized.

  • Prepares and sends invoices to clients and follows up with clients as needed to ensure prompt payments.

  • Ensures the deposit and accurate recording of clients’ payments.

  • Manages payroll processing and employees’ expense reimbursements.

  • Manages employee benefit programs in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Assists with budgeting, preparing financial reports for management as needed.

  • Manages relationships with outside consultants, CPA’s, payroll service providers, and other vendors.

  • Participates in the organization’s on-call schedule

  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:  

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, administration, or related fields.

  • Tech-savvy.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or similar discipline.

  • Highly proficient with QuickBooks;

  • Laser-sharp attention to detail.

  • Professionalism, discretion, and integrity.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time exempt, fully remote with periodic visits to Chicago and New York
Pay: Up to $55,000 annually
